Tile Size and Format Picker

Pick the space and the conditions to see which tile format, grout joint and finish usually fit, with notes on flatness and grip.

These tools give planning-level estimates and drawings from typical values and the details you enter. They are not quotes, designs or engineering, legal, financial, health, safety or code advice, and results depend on your actual surfaces, the local rules, your tile and your choices. No tool or plan can promise a particular outcome. Only a conversation and a look at your project can confirm what it needs, and we give you a written estimate before anything is ordered.

How it works

Four quick steps.

  1. 01

    Pick the space

Choose a shower, bathroom floor, kitchen floor, living area, entry, backsplash, feature wall, patio, pool deck or commercial floor.

  2. 02

    Set the scale

Slide to the size of the surface.

  3. 03

    Add conditions

Tick small rooms, uneven floors, kids or older adults, wet areas and heated floors.

  4. 04

    Read the match

See the tile format, joint width, finish and notes that usually fit.

Tips

  • Match the finish to the water. Wet areas need more grip, and dry walls can be glossy.
  • Large tile needs a flat floor. Tick the flatness box if you are not sure.
  • Bring two or three samples home and look at them in your own light.
Questions

About this tool.

Is the recommendation exact?

No. It is a planning suggestion. We confirm tile, joint and layout after a look at your surfaces.

Can small rooms use large tile?

Yes. Large tile can make a small room feel open, as long as the floor is flat and the layout is planned.

Does it pick a color?

No. It suggests format, joint and finish. Color and style are your choice.
