Tile Layout Studio

Set your room, pick a tile size and a pattern such as straight, offset, diagonal or herringbone and see a top-down plan with full and cut tiles, then send the plan to us.

These tools give planning-level estimates and drawings from typical values and the details you enter. They are not quotes, designs or engineering, legal, financial, health, safety or code advice, and results depend on your actual surfaces, the local rules, your tile and your choices. No tool or plan can promise a particular outcome. Only a conversation and a look at your project can confirm what it needs, and we give you a written estimate before anything is ordered.

How it works

Four quick steps.

  1. 01

    Set your room

Slide the width and length of the surface in feet.

  2. 02

    Pick tile and pattern

Choose a tile size, a layout pattern and a grout joint width.

  3. 03

    Choose the start

Start the layout from a wall or center it in the room, and turn cut tiles on or off.

  4. 04

    Read the plan

See a top-down drawing, the count of full and cut tiles and a note on small edge cuts.

Tips

  • Measure the room at its widest and longest points before you set the sliders.
  • Centering a layout often avoids thin slivers at the walls.
  • Try two or three patterns to compare the amount of cutting.
Questions

About this tool.

Is the drawing to scale?

It is a planning drawing from the sizes you pick. We confirm real layouts on site.

Does it show my exact room?

It draws a simple rectangle. Alcoves, tubs and doors change a real layout, and we plan those on site.

Can I save the plan?

You can send it to us with your estimate request or take a screenshot.
